List of concept- and mind-mapping software.Since the release of version 9, it is also compatible with Outlook and OneNote from Microsoft. Through the set of plug-ins ConceptDraw MINDMAP is compatible with Twitter and Evernote services. ĬonceptDraw MINDMAP can import OPML files, text outlines, MS Project, MS Word and MS PowerPoint files, along with some mind mapping formats, such as MindManager, XMind and FreeMind.Įxport options include MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MindManager as well, and also Adobe PDF, HTML, and a variety of graphics formats. Using a standard file format allows interchange of files between: mind maps, project files and diagrams.

The Developer's end-user license agreement allows for cross-platform installation with a single license. CDMM - ConceptDraw MINDMAP v5 and earlier documentĬonceptDraw MINDMAP is cross-platform compatible when running on macOS and Windows operating systems: files created on a computer power by macOS can be opened and edited on a Windows computer, and vice versa.I look forward to future reviews of this software. Support tells me that they are continually enhancing the integration between the three programs. The diagramming program seems comparable to Omnigraffle, and the project management software is impressive. The Office suite is pricey at $499, but based upon my few days playing with this package, it is worth it. Also, ConceptDraw's project management and diagramming software comes in an integrated package - ConceptDraw Office. Maps can be shared using Evernote, since Evernote has good note-sharing capabilities. Hopefully, this will be fixed.įor business users, ConceptDraw may be the best alternative to MindJet. The only problem I have found is that ConceptDraw mindmap slows down and hangs up fairly frequently. However, ConceptDraw combines each page in a single document, automatically links each new page (map) back to the main map, and makes navigation between pages very easy.

Other mind mapping programs have the 'save branch to a new mind map' function. Users can right click on a branch and save the branch as a new page in the same mind map document. The other thing I like about this mind mapping program is the 'pages' function. Since downloading the trial version of ConceptDraw, I have sent several questions about the program to support. iThoughts HD saves mind maps in ConceptDraw format. If I am using my iPad, I can open the map on the iPad from Evernote using iThoughts HD. Now I can easily file my mindmaps in Evernote with one click. I have never been able to successfully store and manage my mind maps in Evernote, however. Evernote has been my main capture/store/search tool for several years. Thanks for the heads up regarding ConceptDraw MIndMap and Evernote.
